The energy and inspiration of PurposeFest at yesterday’s Belmont Estate was something else.

🧠 πŸ’œ It was genuinely heartening to be surrounded by such nimble, values-driven and innovative thinkers – people deeply committed to creating meaningful change, but also willing to be honest about the challenges that come with purpose-led work.

One of the standout moments was Bryony Cozens‘ workshop, which was honestly transformative. She created a space where people felt able to openly share the real barriers, frustrations and challenges they are facing in their work. What followed was something quite special: collective problem-solving in action.

πŸ’¬ People listened deeply
πŸ’ Challenged constructively
πŸ’‘ Shared ideas generously
🀝 And made commitments to support one another beyond the room

It was purpose and action in practice – collaboration not just as a concept, but as something tangible and deeply human.

πŸ’ž There was also a really important conversation throughout the event about the vital role charities and companies must play together in shaping a stronger, fairer future for Bristol and the wider region. The scale of the challenges facing our communities means no one organisation can solve them alone. Real impact happens when sectors come together with shared purpose, creativity and commitment.

🫢 At Bristol Charities, we are always keen to connect with organisations who want to be part of that journey and explore how we can work together for the greater good of the city and region.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in creating such a thoughtful and energising event, with special props to the incredible Andy Hawkins for bringing us all together. Leaving with new ideas, new connections and renewed optimism for what collaborative leadership can achieve.
