Today we’re proud to publish our Year Ending 2026 Impact Report – Foundations for a Fairer Bristol, celebrating a year of growth, collaboration and transformation across our homes, community hubs and city-wide partnerships.
The report captures a year in which our new five-year strategy came to life. From supporting older people to live independently in safe, affordable homes, to expanding neighbourhood hubs in Bristol’s “lost postcodes”, we’re building the foundations for stronger, more connected communities.

At our Vassall Community Hub, more than 40,000 meals were provided while hundreds of residents took part in activities designed to reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and strengthen community connections. In Stockwood, our Food Club, Community Connectors and volunteer programmes helped bring neighbours together, creating new friendships, local networks and opportunities for people to shape the future of their community.
The report also highlights the impact of our grants programme, with more than £211,000 awarded to individuals and organisations across Bristol, supporting hundreds of households with essential items and helping local charities deliver vital services where they are needed most.
This year also marked an important milestone in how we think about charitable assets.
Through our Total Impact Investment Strategy, we’ve begun aligning our investments with our mission, ensuring that our balance sheet works alongside our charitable activity to create social impact. That includes supporting organisations like Props, investing in sustainable funds, and laying the foundations for the proposed Regional Distribution Hub, an ambitious partnership that has secured £2 million of co-investment and has the potential to transform how essential goods reach families experiencing poverty across the West of England.
Alongside this, our work through the Bristol Education Partnership has continued to bring schools together to improve opportunities for children and young people, while our volunteer programme has shown the extraordinary contribution local people make every day in helping communities thrive.
Perhaps most importantly, this report reflects a growing understanding that impact cannot be measured by numbers alone. Behind every meal served, every grant awarded, every volunteer hour and every partnership is a person whose life has been made a little safer, fairer or more hopeful.
