As the schools are quiet over the summer, Charity Wallis, Director of Development at Bristol Charities, reflects on the time she spent time with families and children at one of the Hub’s valued partner schools, Frome Vale Academy.
The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to meet new parents, connect with local families and see the excitement and energy of children beginning their journey within the school community.
Reflecting on the visit, Charity said:

The visit also highlighted the importance of strong partnership working between schools, community hubs and local organisations in supporting children and families more holistically.
At Vassall Community Hub, family engagement work focuses on building trusted relationships, creating welcoming spaces and ensuring families can access support, opportunities and community connection in ways that feel joined-up and accessible. Working closely with schools like Frome Vale Academy plays a vital role in helping that happen.
