Bristol Charities’ Community Hubs are community initiatives that empower local residents and groups to shape their neighbourhoods.

By offering tailored activities, support services, and opportunities to connect, our hubs aim to create lasting positive change.

Each hub reflects the unique needs of its community, ensuring that it truly belongs to the people it serves.

“Each time I visit the Food Club, no matter what kind of day I’ve had, I’m always met with such warmth, vibrancy, and support from the caring and understanding staff. Even on my worst days, they seem to know just how to help, whether it’s offering advice or connecting me with services like shelter support for rent struggles… What could be a difficult and potentially shameful experience, asking for help, never feels that way at the Food Club. Thank you so much for keeping me fed, afloat, and going during these changing times.”

“It’s inspired me to think about what community should look like… What a vibrant, diverse, buzzing and welcoming event. The community have really embraced the invitation to be part of this place. Stuff can happen here.”

– Feedback from the launch of the Vassall Community Hub

“This is an amazing group! so needed in our area!” and “The space is amazing! And having a cuppa still hot is really so good when mostly mine is cold with being a mum.”

– A member of Tea and Tots

“It’s been really nice talking to the other dads. We don’t have anything like this in the area. When will this be happening again? It’s nice to have something like this on the weekend.”

– A member of Dad’s Breakfast

“I am now spending more time at the VC than at home because of all the lovely things to do.”
