Bristol Charities welcomes two new trustees to its Board

Bristol Charities is pleased to announce the appointment of two new trustees, Emma-Jane Dalley, Partner at DAC Beachcroft, and Christian Porter, Portfolio Manager, Private Markets at Brunel Pension Partnership Limited. Their combined expertise in legal governance, investment strategy, and risk management will further strengthen the charity as it continues to expand its impact across Bristol’s communities.

Emma-Jane Dalley brings extensive experience in charity law and governance, with a career focused on advising charities and not for profit organisations on their legal and strategic needs. Her work at DAC Beachcroft has positioned her as a trusted expert in supporting organisations that deliver public value. 

Emma-Jane said:

The charity’s commitment to tackling inequity and improving the lives of people across the city is deeply aligned with my own values. Christian Porter joins the Board with significant expertise in investment management, specialising in private markets. In his role at Brunel Pension Partnership Limited, he manages long-term investments with a focus on responsible and sustainable outcomes—experience that will support Bristol Charities’ approach to managing endowments, grants, and long-term financial resilience. 

Christian said:

“Bristol Charities plays a crucial role in supporting communities across the city, and I’m very proud to be joining the Board. I’m passionate about ensuring that philanthropic capital is used both responsibly and boldly to create meaningful, long-term change. I look forward to contributing to the charity’s strategic direction and helping maximise its social and financial impact.”
